A 14-year-old was killed Saturday in a shooting in Aberdeen, police said.
Around 11:52 p.m., Aberdeen Police responded to the 200 block of Center Deen Avenue for a report of a shooting, according to a news release from the department.
Upon arrival, they located 14-year-old Jai’den Alexander Winchester, unresponsive and in cardiac arrest with a gunshot wound to the head, the release says.
Despite lifesaving efforts, Winchester was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. He was a freshman at Havre de Grace High School, police said.
