Fire crews battled a two alarm fire at a used car dealership along Pulaski Highway in Edgewood on Saturday that caused an estimated loss of $2 million and left one employee with minor injuries, according to the Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal.

The fire occurred around 2:52 p.m. Saturday at the EZ Car Plus used car dealership and repair shop in the 2700 block of Pulaski Highway in Edgewood, a notice from the fire marshal said.

According to the notice, one employee was injured and transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The fire marshal said the cause of the fire remains under investigation but in dashcam footage posted on social media by the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, a man’s voice can be heard over dispatch saying the fire involved an electric vehicle in a garage attached to the dealership.

Pulaski Highway from Otter Creek to Shore Drive was shut down while crews from numerous fire companies worked to extinguish the fire, according to a Facebook Post from Harford County’s Fire and Emergency Medical Services.
