A 17- and 18-year-old were each charged with murder, while two other 18-year-olds face lesser charges following a shooting in Aberdeen that killed one 18-year-old and injured another, police said.
Tyjeir Cole, 18, of Aberdeen, and an unnamed 17-year-old juvenile from Abingdon were charged with second-degree murder. Both are being held without bail.
Amir Dorsey and Quinton Jackson, both 18 and from Edgewood, were charged with illegal possession of ammunition; both have been released on their own recognizance.
At about 12:34 a.m. on Jan. 5, Harford County Sheriff’s office patrol deputies responded to the 1300 block of North Sewards Court in Aberdeen for a reported shooting. There, officers found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Kylonne Taylor, 18, of Aberdeen, was pronounced dead at the scene. Jaylen Jackson, 18, of Aberdeen, was taken to a hospital and later released after receiving treatment, according to police
According to police, the incident occurred during a birthday party, in which the four suspects allegedly entered the residence and became involved in an altercation before shots were fired.
Police found a handgun that had been reported stolen from North Carolina located near the victim during the course of their investigation. That weapon is not believed to have been fired in this incident, and the search for the murder weapon remains ongoing, police said.
