Bel Air firefighters, Harford County EMS and other local emergency responders rescued a man trapped in a tree on Wednesday.

Firefighters responded to the 1400 block of Gunston Road to a report of an adult male trapped in a tree around 10 a.m.

The male was about 30 feet up in the air and was stuck in a tree limb he was attempting to cut, according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Department.

A nearby neighbor helped local emergency responders by providing them with a hydraulic lift.

Firefighters first had to clear a path to get to the tree and then used a hook-and-ladder truck to reach the male.

He suffered minor injuries and was able to climb down the tree under his own power, according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Department.

The Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, Darlington Volunteer Fire Company, Harford County Department of Emergency Services EMS, Maryland State Police Aviation Command and others assisted during the rescue.
