Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Wrestling

Harford Tech 61, Edgewood 14: Despite the loss, the Rams got a pin from Shane Tressler (190 pounds), a technical fall from Cody Galbreath (126) and a decision win from Miles Putney (285).

Chesapeake 62, North County 9: Brayden Roberts (126), Rex Graves (138), Ethan Mills (144), Owen Collins (150), Collin Richardson (165) and Dean Michael (215) all made pins in the win. Carson Roberts (120) won by tech fall, while Dominic Ayres (132), Phillip Ramsey (175), Carter Alexander (190) and Xander Dodd (285) all claimed minor decisions.

Chesapeake 62, Crofton 9: Hunter Wargo (106), Bently Schmidt (113), Trevor Webb (157), Collin Richardson (165), Matthew Curtin (175), Dean Michael (190) and Xander Dodd (285) all tallied pins for the Cougars. Rex Graves (138) and Owen Collins (150) each had major decision wins.

Hammond 42, Guilford Park 40: Asher Staley (144), Connor McGovern (150), Michael Saint Vil (157), John Louie (165), Jayden Asaah-Timothy (175) and Xavier Nichols (190) all had pins for Hammond in the narrow win. For Guilford Park, Luis Galo-Orellana (106), Ethan Brancazio (120), Camden Aisquith (138) and Elijah Fields (285) all had pins. McDonald Omonagor also won by major decision for the Panthers.

Guilford Park 54, Wilde Lake 23: Camden Aisquith (138) and Luis Galo-Orellana (106) each had pins for the Panthers. For Wilde Lake, David Small (132), James Shilde (175) and Kaamal Bagby (215) each had pins, while Dimitri Lachaud (144) won by technical fall.

Franklin 56, Lansdowne 22: In a dual that featured forfeits in the majority of bouts, the Indians came out ahead of the Vikings.

South Carroll 70, Westminster 8: South Carroll got pins from Jason Patterson, Grayson Barnhill, Eli Gabrielson, Evan Owen, Jojo Gigliotti, Angelo Marchany, Conner Deshesky, Landon Hamper, Manny Rodrigues and Paddy Govier. Gigliotti’s win was the 100th of his career. The Cavs also had technical fall wins by Jake Simione and Davy Snyder.

Girls basketball

Mount de Sales 44, Liberty 31: Shelby Lewis and Ella Powers each scored 13 points for the Sailors in the nonconference win. Allison Baid had 14 points for the Lions.

Chesapeake 61, Friends 30: The Cougars improved to 2-0 behind 16 points from Kendall Kotofski, four 3-pointers from Claire Foster, six points apiece from Allison Schaefer, Ryleigh Smoot and Carlie Shoemaker, and 5 points and 10 rebounds from Aubrey Stevens.

Aberdeen 36, Bel Air 31: The host Eagles scored in transition over the final two minutes to beat the Bobcats. Njah Harris had 10 points, four rebounds, three assists and six steals, and Kimara Sewell had eight points for Aberdeen. Carson Price led Bel Air with 16 points.

North Harford 40, Joppatowne 17: The visiting Hawks beat the Mariners. North Harford was led by Emily Signor (13 points, 8 rebounds),  Payton Dinbokowitz (9 points) and Peyton Dawson (10 rebounds).

Patterson Mill 35, Harford Tech 20: The visiting Huskies beat the Cobras led by 13 points from Rylie Madsen. Sophia Marchena backed her with eight. Harford Tech was led by freshman Brenna Olmstead with six points, three rebounds and two assists.

C. Milton Wright 34, Havre de Grace 30: The Mustangs edged out the Warriors led by Emma Jankowiak, who finished with 13 points and six steals.

Boys basketball

Liberty 69, Glenelg 68: The Lions edged the Gladiators in a thriller. Down eight in the fourth quarter, the Lions rallied back and Gavin Speace’s 3-pointer with two seconds left gave them the win. Speace finished with 20 points. Tristan West added 14. For Glenelg (1-1), Ty Jenkins had a game-high 24 points, including six 3-pointers. Siyi Jolayemi added 13 points, while Steven Mbuyamba had 12.

South River 73, Winters Mill 54: Jaden McDuffie netted 26 points and Jonah Hall had 20 for the Seahawks (2-0).

Crofton 61, Parkdale 51: The host Cardinals beat the Panthers. Crofton was led by Miles Denton with 13 points and Austin Printy with 10 points.

Patterson Mill 65, Harford Tech 33: James Hammond (19 points) and Colin Luddy (13 points) led the host Huskies past the Cobras. Patterson Mill led 27-16 in the first half.

Aberdeen 49, Bel Air 46: In a tied game, Kellan Dennis hit a 3-pointer with four seconds left to give the Eagles the win. Dom Hyer led Aberdeen in the win with 15 points and five rebounds. Collin Rogers was right behind him with 14 points and five rebounds.

Joppatowne 78, North Harford 73: Kishann Smith scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Mariners over the Hawks. Joppatowne battled back from an 11-point halftime deficit. Other top scorers for Joppatowne included, Jaydin Nicholas (16 points), Erza Jackson (13 points) and Dartanun Blakney (13 points). Blakney also had six assists and Smith had five steals and nine rebounds. Jackson also pulled down nine rebounds and blocked three shots. Demetrious Denmore had 22 points for North Harford.
