Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Boys basketball

Dulaney 63, Milford Mill 53: Kelan Dennis hit 3 of 5 3-pointers and finished with 24 points in the win. It was his second 20-plus point game of the season. Chase Huber backed him with 18 points while handing out nine assists. Drew Ranck was strong inside with 10 points, eight rebounds and two blocks.

Towson 84, Patapsco 28: Seven Wheeler topped three Generals in double figures with 23 points. He also collected nine steals. Will Fryer and Jeremiah Harris each finished with 12 points. Fryer also totaled four steals and three assists.

Catonsville 47, Hereford 41: Gavin Edwards lead the Comets with 19 points as they held off a late charge from Hereford. Kreis Metz topped the Bulls with 12 points. Hereford cut a 10-point lead to three late but couldn’t get over the hump.

Mt. Hebron 78, Marriotts Ridge 53: The Vikings (2-1, 2-0 Summit Division) won their second straight. Kenny Akinlosotu scored a game-high 22 points, including 19 in the second half. Cole Willey added 17 points, while Ezra Yauger chipped in 11 in the win. For Marriotts Ridge (1-2, 1-1 Summit), Res Whitaker led the way with 14 points.

Long Reach 71, River Hill 68: The Lightning (1-2, 1-0 Sierra Division) snapped a two-game losing streak. Daniel Best shined once again with a team-high 28 points for a second straight game. Jay’Qwan Colvin added 14 points in the win. For River Hill (1-1, 0-1 Sierra), Justin Bishop had a game-high 33 points, including seven 3-pointers. Nick Kogut also finished in double figures with 13.

Reservoir 55, Oakland Mills 48: First-year Gators coach Darnell Myers picked up his first win with the school. Reservoir (1-2, 1-0 Summit Division) was led by 12 points from Kai Lewis and 11 from Kellen Whitaker. Joshua Jones added nine points.

Glenelg 58, Guilford Park 53: The Gladiators (2-1, 1-0 Summit Division) picked up their first division win of the season. Ty Jenkins continued his hot start to the season with 30 points, while Steven Mbuyamba added 11, his third straight game in double figures.

Broadneck 71, La Plata 40: The host Bruins (3-0) beat the Warriors (2-1). Broadneck was led by Kamari Williams (14 points, 6 rebounds), Liam Sabo (13 points, 12 rebounds), Drew Cahall (12 points), Ashton Sellman (10 points), and Jacob Aponte (8 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals).

Annapolis Area Christian 73, Meade 67, OT: Chase Brown and Julian Kelly each scored 12 points and Ant Sheehan had 10 points to lead the visiting Eagles (5-2) past the Mustangs (0-2).

St. Mary’s 64, Severn Run 44: The Saints were led by James DiBeteto (19 points), Tyler Tillman (14 points), Noah Cerny (13 points), Gavin Johnson (11 points) and Joe Hall (6 points).

Great Mills 56, Arundel 49: The Wildcats (1-1) fell short despite the efforts of Ellis Johnson and Phoenix Eggleston, who each scored 15 points. Samson Anjorin added 12 points.

Archbishop Spalding 81, Loyola Blakefield 51: The Cavaliers (5-1) were spurred by 24 points from junior TJ Moultrie, 14 points from freshman Braxton Bogard, 11 points from Moe Lonergan and nine points from Elijah Barrett.

Girls basketball

River Hill 73, Long Reach 42: The Hawks (3-0, 2-0 Sierra Division) continued their hot start to the season. Dylan Watson led the charge with 27 points for a second straight game. Olivia Creighton (14) and Kirsten Parypinski (10) also finished in double figures. For Long Reach (1-2, 0-1 Sierra), Sydney Nance had 11 points. Morgan Enlow added nine points.

Mt. Hebron 55, Marriotts Ridge 26: The Vikings (2-1, 2-0 Summit Division) earned their second straight win. Kaitlyn Magdar led the way with 17 points, while Pearl Prasartkarnka added 11. For Marriotts Ridge (0-3, 0-2 Summit), Lamees Bazzi had a team-high nine points.

Centennial 41, Hammond 40: The Eagles (1-3) picked up their first win of the season in a tight contest. Tatiana Machiz had a game-high 15 points, while Abby Porter added 10. For Hammond (0-2), Khloe Winston had 12 points, while Sara Yarnell had 10.

Glenelg 68, Guilford Park 36: Jordan Henggeler led the Gladiators with 23 points, 16 of which came in the second half. MJ Dabiri chipped in 16, her third straight game in double figures. For Guilford Park (1-2, 1-1 Summit), Londyn Wiseman had 12 points, while Audrey Morrison-Lang added 10.

Oakland Mills 67, Reservoir 45: The Scorpions (1-1, 1-0 Summit Division) won the divisional battle behind a well-balanced scoring effort. Chloe Grenway led the way with 22 points, while Destiny Macharia also had 16. Both Jeriah Shipp and Adey Alexander added 10 points. For Reservoir (2-1, 0-1 Summit), Jasmin Shelton had 13 points, while Alissa Young had nine.

Perry Hall 39, Dundalk 29: The Gators got 21 points and seven rebounds from Belen Ros. Tammy Tan backed her with eight points and nine rebounds. Emily Rennie chipped in five points and Maddy Rudolph collected six rebounds and five steals.

Pikesville 66, Loch Raven 21: Ka’nai Pyatt was strong on both ends of the floor, scoring 19 points and getting six steals to lead the Panthers. NyJae Malik-El had an all-around strong night with seven points, nine steals, seven assists and six rebounds. Mariah Jones-Bey chipped in eight points, four assists and three steals in the win. Maya Chase nearly hit a double-double, finishing with eight points and 10 rebounds.

Carver A&T 53, Owings Mills 15: The host Wildcats (2-0) beat the Eagles (0-2). Friday, Carver A&T travels to Perry Hall. Monday, Owings Mills hosts Sparrows Point.

Great Mills 41, Southern 29: Abril Esparza netted 11 points for Great Mills. In the loss, Huntyr Marks made 14 points and La’Ren Watkins had six.

Fallston 46, Rising Sun 28: The host Cougars (2-0) beat the Tigers (2-1). Fallston was led by Natalie Wirth (13 points, 11 rebounds), Sara Gent (9 points), Jadin Woods (6 points), Sara Gnagey (4 points) and Brooke Bolesta (4 points).

Wrestling

South River 41, Stephen Decatur 33: The Seahawks pulled out a close one behind pins from Shaams Gambhir (106), Emmanuel Rosas Luna (113), Ethan Berger (144), Evan Paximadas (175), Chris Millard (190) and Cristian Erazo (215). Jackson Peeples (120) added a tech fall.

Patterson Mill 40, North County 32: The Huskies picked up the win with Cole Christian (138), Brandon Hinson (144), Owen Henfey (150) and Sanel Becirovic (215) all earning pins. Noah Vallowe (165) won a major decision.
