Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Friday, Feb. 14.

Girls basketball

Crofton 48, Meade 31: The host Cardinals beat the Mustangs. Tuesday Crofton travels to Chesapeake-AA and Meade hosts Old Mill.

Carver A&T 49, Franklin 28: The host Wildcats beat the Indians. On Feb. 24, Carver A&T travels to Owings Mills.

Glenelg 62, Guilford Park 40: The Gladiators (8-8, 4-5 Summit Division) built a 17-point halftime lead in the victory. MJ Dabiri spearheaded the offense with 18 points, while Ashlin Cornelius added 12. For Guilford Park (1-12, 1-7 Summit), Audrey Morrison-Lang had 17 points.

Manchester Valley 45, South Carroll 40: Lilah Kresslein led the Mavericks (12-7, 8-4 Carroll County) with 17 points, four assists and three steals. Emma Penczek backed her with 12 points, five steals and two assists. Taylor Fique chipped in eight points and eight rebounds.

Westminster 49, Liberty 34: The Owls got 16 points from Xaviah Burgee as they topped the Lions. Maddy Gassman added 12 points and Kole Peach chipped in six.

Boys basketball

Aberdeen 63, Havre de Grace 49: McKinley Turner and Cameron Allen-Jones each posted double-doubles in the Eagles’ win. Turner finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds; Allen-Jones totaled 10 points and 15 rebounds. Kellan Dennis had 13 points and four assists and Dom Hyer chipped in 12 points. Josiah Lawrence scored 23 points for the Warriors.

Hereford 61, Pikesville 45: The Bulls (10-10) moved to .500 on the season with the win. Tanner Diehl and Joe Daw each scored 16 points in the win. For Pikesville, Jean-Marc Nken and Jonah Matz each scored 15.

Mt. Hebron 80, Marriotts Ridge 68: The Vikings (15-1, 10-0 Summit Division) clinched the Summit Division title and a county championship berth with the win. Cole Willey led the charge with 22 points, while Tai Akinlosotu added 11. Both Kenny Akinlosotu (11) and Ezra Yauger (10) scored in double figures. For Marriotts Ridge (9-7, 5-3 Summit), Res Whitaker finished with a game-high 25 points. Both Blake Willingham and Rahul Jampan added 11.
