Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Thursday, Feb. 20.

Boys basketball

Patterson Mill 72, Bohemia Manor 41: James Kropp’s 18 points led the Huskies in the blowout win. Kai Gibson and James Hammond backed him with 10 points each.

Joppatowne 70, Southwestern 52: Kishann Smith poured in 22 points as the Mariners scored a nonconference win. Dartanun Blakney added 18 points and Anthony Council netted 14. Braxton Jackson had an all-around strong night with eight points, seven rebounds, four assists and five blocks.

Howard 70, Atholton 67: The Lions (15-5, 8-2 Sierra Division) closed the regular season with a victory. Griff Garner finished with a game-high 25 points, while Josh Ademiju added 14. Alex Reeb also finished in double figures with 10 for Howard. For Atholton (10-8, 4-6 Sierra), Cam Lyons scored 22 points, while Kyle Duffie Jr chipped in 10.

Reservoir 58, Glenelg 52: The Gators (8-10, 5-6 Summit) avenged an earlier loss to the Gladiators. Bryan Reyes led the way with 15 points and five assists, while Joshua Jones added 11 points and four assists. For Glenelg (8-10, 5-6 Summit), Joey McCann finished with a team-high 13 points, while Ty Jenkins added 12. Steven Mbuyamba added 11.

Glen Burnie 46, Chesapeake-AA 29: The Gophers (13-7) won their fifth consecutive game behind 19 points from Chris Maddox. Braeden Buchanan added 14 points. Lucas Slayton led the Cougars with 10 points.

Girls basketball

Dulaney 55, River Hill 51: The Lions edged out the Hawks on their home floor in a non-conference battle. Torunn Spencer led the way with 23 points, while Riley Miller added 13. For River Hill (14-5), Dylan Watson finished with a season-high 31 points.

Reservoir 50, Glenelg 42: The Gators (16-3, 9-2 Summit Division) swept the season series with the Gladiators. Alissa Young scored a team-high 19 points, while both Sam Feher and Leah Lauer added 12. For Glenelg (9-9, 5-6 Summit), MJ Dabiri finished with a team-high 12 points, while Skyler Mitchner added 11.

Howard 52, Centennial 45: The Lions (15-4, 8-2 Sierra Division) won their third straight game in a well-balanced effort. Alana Harrison scored a game-high 14 points, while Abbey Ward added 12. Kelsey Wimmer chipped in 11 more points for the Lions. For Centennial (8-10, 5-4 Sierra), Tatiana Machiz and Abby Porter each finished with 11 points.
