Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Friday, Jan. 10.

Girls basketball

South River 93, Arundel 21: Cami Burke (22 points, 5 assists, 5 steals) and Keirra West (20 points, 6 rebounds) led the visiting Seahawks (4-3) over the Wildcats (0-7). South River got 10 points from Raegan Ogle and Skylar Woodyard. Tuesday, Arundel travels to Old Mill. Next Friday, the Seahawks travel to Severna Park.

Boys basketball

Joppatownes 66, Kenwood 64: Kishann Smith scored a game-high 27 points to lead the Mariners over the host Blue Jays. Other top scorers for Joppatowne included Braxton Jackson with 13 points and Anthony Council with 10 points. Kenwood was led by Andrew Otuyelu (19 points), Christian Bookman (17 points) and Antoine Day-Barnes (12 points).
