Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Wednesday, Jan. 29.

Girls basketball

Randallstown 42, Woodlawn 35: Emma Oga had a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Rams over the Warriors.

Eastern Tech 46, Perry Hall 28: Mia Hinal and Margot Rowe each scored 12 points to lead the host Mavericks over the Gators. The win halted a two-game slide.

St. John’s Catholic Prep 53, Severn 46: The visiting Vikings (2-11, 1-4 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference) beat the Admirals (13-5, 4-3). Severn was led by Amyah Heyliger (15 points) and Katie Mentesana (11 points).

Havre de Grace 36, North Harford 35: The visiting Warriors beat the Hawks. North Harford was led by Peyton Dawson and Emily Signor each with nine points and Payton Dinbokowitz with six points.

Boys basketball

Mount Carmel 59, Gilman 49: Tristen Wilson scored 17 points and surpassed the 1,000th career-point milestone while leading the host Cougars (22-3, 9-1 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) over the Greyhounds (4-11, 1-9). The win was the 11th straight. Other top scorers for Mount Carmel included: Mario Tatum (14 points), Gage Howard (11 points), and Ralph Rudusans (9 points).

Kenwood 55, Hereford 48: The host Bluebirds took a seven-point lead with less than three minutes to go and hung on to beat the Bulls. Hereford trimmed the lead to 51-48 in the closing minute but got no closer. Kenwood’s Andrew Otuyeks scored a game-high 19 points and Darryl Giles had 15 points. Hereford had three players score in double figures: Joe Daw (13 points), Tanner Diehl (13 points) and Daniel Metz (11 points).

Dulaney 80, Patapsco 56: The Lions had three players score in double figures and one finish just shy in a big win over the Patriots. Chase Huber led the win with 19 points and Kelan Dennis followed with 16. Jayden Corley-Pugh chipped in 10 points and Shea Henneberry finished with nine.

Milford Mill 60, Towson 49: Seven Wheeler scored 19 points and Jeremiah Harris had 12 points, but the host Generals fell to the Millers.

St. Mary’s 51, Friends 44: Tyler Tillman and Jovanni Hall both netted 11 points in the win for the Saints (12-9). Gavin Johnson had nine points.

Loyola Blakefield 76, Archbishop Spalding 70: Jesse Legree dropped 35 points for the Dons (14-13, 4-5 BCL), who snapped Spalding’s four-game win streak, while Terry Brooks had 17. In the loss, Spalding (17-5, 6-2 BCL) was led by Elijah Barrett and Braxton Bogard (19 points each) as well as Colt Busse (18 points).

Severn 55, Concordia Prep 47: The visiting Admirals (13-5, 8-1 MIAA B Conference) beat the Saints (8-9, 4-5). Severn was led by Daniel Growney (21 points), Sean Harvey (15 points) and DJ Lee (11 points).

Wrestling

South River 74, Southern 6: Trent Shipley (120), Nicco Seppi (132), Ethan Berger (138), Ben Ford (150), Max Martinez Cruz (157), Evan Paximadas (165) and Will French (175) all tallied pins. Manny Rojas (106) and Busayo Balogun (285) each had tech falls while Andrew Veilleux (126) had a major decision, 12-2.

Old Mill 49, Broadneck 26: Brandon Womack (113), Keon Gavin (126), Dekhi Church (132), Mohammid Rahmanni (138) and Austyn Bunn (285) all collected pins for the Patriots (22-5). Trey Martini (157) won by major decision.
