Boys lacrosse
Loyola Blakefield 13, Mount St. Joseph 8: The host Dons (6-2, 1-0 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) start conference play with a convincing win over the Gaels (5-2, 0-1). Loyola opened with a 3-0 run and Cooper Pasko completed a hat trick for a 7-4 lead with 2:15 left in the first half. Matt Joerres also scored three goals for the Dons.
McDonogh 9, St. Paul’s 8, OT: Syracuse-bound Bogue Hahn scored the game-winner and Virginia-bound Brendan Millon collected his fifth assist to lift the visiting Eagles (5-3, 1-0 MIAA A Conference) over the Crusaders (3-2, 0-1). The win was the fourth straight and fourth one-goal game this season.
Softball
Bel Air 15, Edgewood 2: The Bobcats collected 16 hits and beat the Rams. Addy Schrengost and Sofia Gallahue each had three hits for Bel Air. Aubrey Buckmaster gave up two runs on five hits, walked one and struck out six for the win.
Tennis
Fallston 11, Bohemia Manor 0: The Cougars didn’t lose a game in boys singles play with Gordon Lefkowitz, Ethan LeMoine and Edison Liu all winning by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Lexi Rapo also swept the third girls singles match, as did Zach Boczar and Luca Cangelosi at first boys doubles. Juliana Kovalets and Gwen Karantonis added girls singles wins. Also victorious were doubles teams of Kasey Resh and Ashley Tran, Maddie Kelly and Elena Morissette, and Alex Kegan and Avery Mendoza.
