Field hockey
Francis Scott Key 2, Liberty 0: Maddy Dehoff made 11 saves as the Eagles shut out their county rival Lions in a Class 1A West Region I semifinal. Jena Stambaugh scored two goals to lead the visiting Eagles. Carley Topper and Bella Mazan each had an assist.
Century 2, South Carroll 1: The Knights knocked off the defending 1A state champion Cavaliers in a regional semifinal. The Knights got goals from Natalie Opatovsky and Aubrey Geist with Abby Kristian providing an assist. In goal, Hannah Baglin made eight saves.
Glen Burnie 3, Meade 0: Melany Tello scored twice and the visiting Gophers topped the Mustangs in Class 4A. Madi Fernandez had a goal and Sydney Green made four saves for Glen Burnie. The Gophers travel to Crofton next for a regional final.
John Carroll 2, Severn 1: The host Patriots (11-5-1, 7-2-1 Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference) beat the Admirals (9-5-2, 5-4-1) in the regular-season finale. Addison Lamb scored the lone goal for Severn.
Glenelg Country 7, Annapolis Area Christian 2: The host Dragons (3-11, 3-9 IAAM C Conference) beat the Eagles (1-12, 0-12). Grace Knapp and Sydney Ahmed each scored for Glenelg.
