Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Tuesday, Sept. 10

Girls soccer

Aberdeen 8, Woodlawn 0: The Eagles got a hat trick from Faith Manzanares to lead the victory. Sasha Pazoki backed her with two goals. Selena Acevedo, Grace Buxton and Amira Hines also scored in the win.

Catonsville 5, Franklin 0: The Comets spread around the offense in the win. Michaela Conlon, Liz Owens, Zoe Hicks, Alice Pinson and Sam Husk all scored goals. Hicks also assisted two goals, as did Rylee Mesa. Elin Mellendick also contributed an assist.

Boys soccer

Gerstell 5, Saint John’s Catholic 0: Davis Quenzer scored twice for the Falcons to lead the win. Justin Rudo backed him with a goal and an assist. Gavin Larson and Malcom Hoar also scored, while Sam Oluyemi had an assist. Preston Harris needed to make just three saves to earn the clean sheet.

St. Mary’s 3, Glenelg Country School 1: Landon Ross scored twice in the Saints’ win. Will Franey also added a goal. Than Souza, Charlie Roy and Patrick Roy each had assists.

Field hockey

Eastern Tech 2, Perry Hall 1: The Mavericks defeated the Gators with an overtime game-winner. For the Gators, Sophie Blevins scored the lone goal off a Victoria Sanchez assist. RaeLeigh Sparzak made seven saves.

Golf

North Harford 185, Fallston 188, Patterson Mill 222: The Hawks topped their tri-meet in four-person scoring. Lucas Parks led the win with a 42, Greg Sebring and Mason Wedge each shot 46 and Lincoln Blankenship added a 48. Cam Konkle’s 43 led Fallston. Sarai Moss  backed him with a 44. Charlie Topping shot a 48 to lead Patterson Mill. In five-person scoring, North Harford beat Fallston, 231-239. Patterson Mill did not field a fifth golfer.

Volleyball

Carver A&T 3, Western Tech 1: The Wildcats prevailed in four tight sets, 25-22, 28-26, 24-26, 25-18.
