The Havre de Grace Board of Canvassers met Thursday to review absentee and provisional ballots for the annual city council election.
This year, incumbents Johnny Boker and Vicki Jones each ran for reelection. Council member Jason Robertson, however, chose not to run again, leaving his seat vacant.
Matthew Ellis ran for the vacant seat.
The official election results will be announced during the city council meeting on May 19, and the three elected officials will be sworn into their positions.
The city council consists of six members who each serve two-year terms. The mayor, however, serves a three-year term. Half of the council goes through the reelection process each year, staggering the terms of each member.
Council President Jim Ringsaker and council members Casi Boyer and Tammy Lynn Schneegas will be up for reelection, if they choose, next year. Mayor William Martin will be up for reelection in 2027.
