Maryland Center for the Arts’ annual holiday concert, “Rejoice: A Community Musical Celebration,” will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bel Air, Dec. 15 from 3-5 p.m.
The family and senior-friendly event will feature performances by the Bel Air Community Chorus, the Deer Creek Chorale Chamber and Youth Choirs, the Upper Chesapeake Chorus of Sweet Adelines, Intl., and string students of the Linda Leanza Studio, according to the Maryland Center for the Arts.
“We’re excited to welcome the community for an uplifting afternoon of music and celebration,” Bob Willenbrink, executive director of Maryland Center for the Arts said in a statement. “This event embodies the spirit of the season — connection, joy and the power of the arts to bring us together.”
Started in 2020 to celebrate the easing of pandemic restrictions, “Rejoice” is a showcase for local professional and amateur singers and musicians, featuring performances and a joyful audience sing-along of seasonal favorites.
This year’s performers include The Bel Air Community Chorus, Deer Creek Chamber Choir, Deer Creek Youth Choir, Upper Chesapeake Chorus, Linda Leanza and Bob Willenbrink.
Tickets are $10 online and $15 at the door for adults and free for students. They can be purchased on the Maryland Center for the Arts website at mdcenterforthearts.org.
