The Harford County Sheriff’s Office is responding to a “suspected shooting” at Joppatowne High School, though they are saying it’s not an active shooter situation, according to a spokesperson.

The Friday afternoon incident was determined to be an isolated incident, according to the sheriff’s office. People are advised to avoid the area, and parents are advised to use Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church to pick up their students.

Police have not released information about whether anyone was injured. Law enforcement officers are currently working at the school before releasing more information.

At 12:54 p.m., the department said on social media that it was working on an incident at the school and that a spokesperson was headed to the scene.
