Each week throughout the season, The Aegis will select players of the week in each spring sport. The public will then have the opportunity to vote which of the individual sport selections will earn the honor of overall Harford County Player of the Week. Voting will run through the end of the day Wednesday and readers can vote once per hour.

Here are the Athletes of the Week for April 28-May 4.

Boys lacrosse

RJ Wilhelm, Patterson Mill

Wilhelm scored 12 times in three games last week, highlighted by a five-goal, one-assist effort against North Harford on Monday.

Girls lacrosse

Paige Feick, Bel Air

In three games last week, Feick scored 15 goals with 17 draw controls and 10 caused turnovers. Seven of those goals came in the Bobcats’ Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference semifinal win that sent them to the title game.

Baseball

Collin Kight, North Harford

Knight went 5-for-13 with a home run and six RBI at the plate across three games last week, but his largest contributions came on the mound. He tossed seven scoreless innings with nine strikeouts in the Hawks’ UCBAC semifinal victory after posting 1 2/3 scoreless frames in relief two days prior.

Softball

Aubrey Buckmaster, Bel Air

Buckmaster struck out 13 batters and allowed zero runs over seven innings in a 5-0 win over Harford Tech to open the week. She took the circle again two days later and added another scoreless outing in a 13-0 victory over North Harford.

Boys track and field

Khory Reevey, Harford Tech

Reevey won four individual events at the Hatem Division championships last Tuesday. Reevey won the 110-meter (14.53) and 300-meter (37.6) hurdles. He also took first in the long jump (22-7) and triple jump (42-7 1/2).

Girls track and field

Leila Sollas, Patterson Mill

Sollas won two individual races and ran on two winning relays at last Tuesday’s Tydings Division championships. She won the 400 (1:00.2) and 800 (2:22.4) and ran on the winning 4×400 and 4×800 relays.

Tennis

Jason D’Silva, Aberdeen

D’Silva has been a consistent winner for the Eagles, undefeated on the season.

Last week’s results

Patterson Mill softball’s Izzy Hiebler beat out Fallston boys lacrosse’s Jaden Riley with 51.9% of the vote. Riley finished with 18.1%. North Harford tennis’ Emma Clayton was third with 10.6%.

Hiebler was originally selected for the week in which she went 5-for-8 at the plate last week with a 1.325 on-base-plus-slugging percentage. She anchors the Huskies, who didn’t lose in April, on offense and behind the plate.
