Each week throughout the season, The Aegis will select players of the week in each spring sport. The public will then have the opportunity to vote which of the individual sport selections will earn the honor of overall Harford County Player of the Week.

Voting will run through the end of the day Tuesday and readers can vote once per hour.

Here are the Athletes of the Week for March 31-April 6.

Boys lacrosse

Chase Bullock, Bel Air

Bullock posted five goals and three assists in a 16-9 win over Patterson Mill last Monday to help push the Bobcats to a 3-0 start to the season. He added two goals in a tournament win Saturday over Liberty.

Girls lacrosse

Jordyn Sears, Harford Tech

Sears is just a freshman, but didn’t play like one last week. She tallied six goals across two games — one win and one loss for the Cobras — on nine shots on goal and added three assists and seven ground balls.

Baseball

Brooks Mueller, John Carroll

The Patriots’ ace tossed a complete game, two-hit shutout in a victory over Calvert Hall last week. The right-hander struck out four and only walked three over his seven innings on the mound in the 2-1 win.

Softball

Kendra Miller, C. Milton Wright

Miller slugged two home runs this week on top of a pair of doubles and eight runs scored. She went 7-for-9 at the plate across two Mustang wins.

Boys track and field

Wroto Quiah, Edgewood

The senior has been highly successful in the triple jump this season. He won the event at a tri-meet with Rising Sun and Fallston, then on Saturday won the event at the Pikesville Track Classic, jumping 43 feet, 6 inches.

Girls track and field

London Youngblood, Harford Tech

Youngblood won the shot put and discus Friday at the Cobra relays. She won the shot put with a throw of 33 feet, 1 inch, and the discus with a toss of 115 feet, which ranks ninth in Maryland this season according to athletic.net

Tennis

Alexa Benedict, Patterson Mill

The Huskies’ first girls singles player is 5-0 so far this season, including a win in one of the county’s premier girls matches, beating Fallston’s Juliana Kovalets, who beat Benedict in last season’s regional tournament.

Last week’s results

In a close vote, Patterson Mill softball’s Lily Baldwin beat out C. Milton Wright track and field’s Evan Goss with 37.7% of the vote. Goss finished with 34.5%.

Bel Air girls lacrosse’s Riley Manzo finished third in the vote with 11.4%. Aberdeen boys lacrosse’s Chace Allen was fourth with 7.6%.
