A jury trial for a 32-year-old Aberdeen man who police say shot and killed a teenager at a Belcamp McDonald’s in April is scheduled to begin Wednesday in Harford County Circuit Court.
Djbril Ramatoulay is charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter, attempted first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, firearm use in the commission of a felony and crime of violence and reckless endangerment, as well as several handgun violations related to the April shooting of 19-year-old Sabashton Nocar, of Bel Air. A preliminary hearing on the case was held Friday.
Charging documents state that deputies with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a McDonald’s in the 1300 block of Riverside Parkway, where they found Nocar “lying on the floor with a gun shot wound to the upper body.” A witness told police that Nocar and Ramatoulay knew each other and were fighting in the bathroom when Ramatoulay shot Nocar, according to the documents.
Ramatoulay had been an employee of McDonald’s a week before the incident, according to the charging documents, when someone complained of a disorderly employee. It is unknown whether Ramatoulay was working at the McDonald’s at the time of the shooting.
