The Society of Italian American Businessmen gave $100,000 to the Char Hope Foundation to support their Rooting Recovery program.
Char Hope is a foundation dedicated to providing sober living opportunities, financial aid and community outreach to educate people about addiction and bring awareness to the topic. The foundation helps individuals move through the recovery process.
“The funds will help CHF work towards building an indoor riding ring which will allow CHF to support about 400 folks per year for outside groups year-round,” said the founder and director of Char Hope Foundation, Derek Hopkins, in a news release.
The money, Hopkins added, will also support the foundation’s mission CHF99.org campaign, allowing them to do more outreach work for stigma and promoting abstinence-based recovery and research.
