Each week throughout the winter season, The Aegis will select two boys and girls basketball players of the week. The public will then have the opportunity to vote which of the selections will earn the honor of the overall Harford County Basketball Player of the Week.

Voting will run through the end of the day on Wednesday, readers can vote once per hour, and the final results will be published Friday.

Here are the basketball players of the week from Jan. 5-11.

Boys basketball

Shawn Lauderdale, C. Milton Wright

Lauderdale averaged 20 points and six rebounds per game across three contests for the Mustangs last week, a perfect 3-0 stretch to get them to 9-1 on the season.

Sean Kellum, Edgewood

Kellum led the Rams to a perfect 2-0 week, posting 25 points in a road victory over Havre de Grace and logging 26 in a home win against Fallston.

Girls basketball
