Bel Air Police have stepped up patrols at Bel Air Plaza shopping center after an armed incident was reported Saturday.

Police Chief Charles “Chuck” Moore said Tuesday that it is still unclear what weapon was used, which is why police are still seeking video footage and asking witnesses to come forward.

“At this time, limited details are being released to protect the integrity of the investigation,” police said in a weekend Facebook post.

Officers interviewed witnesses at the scene of the shopping center on Route 24 at Baltimore Pike, which is anchored by Aldi, but Moore said there are still no official updates.
