A Sheetz gas station and convenience store is planned in Aberdeen near the intersection of Old Philadelphia Road and Route 40, less than a mile from a new Rutter’s gas station that opened late last year.
The proposed project will replace a vacant vehicle repair shop and former Hertz Car Rental lot with a 6,139-square-foot Sheetz convenience store, a fueling canopy, fuel pumps and a drive-thru.
A community input meeting — the first step in Harford County’s development process — will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Aberdeen branch of the Harford County Library, 21 Franklin St.
During the meeting, project planners and engineers will provide details on the project and address any questions or concerns from residents.
If approved, the Aberdeen Sheetz would be the fourth Sheetz location in Harford County, joining existing Joppatowne and Bel Air locations, and a planned Churchville location.
