Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly leads his 2026 Republican challenger, Patrick Vincenti, by almost $98,000 in campaign contributions, according to the most recent campaign finance report submitted to the state.
Cassilly, elected in 2022, had a balance of $275,559.71 before the start of the most recent reporting period — from Jan. 9, 2025, to Jan. 14, 2026. During that time, Cassilly earned $358,618 in campaign contributions, after refunding $4,000 to donors.
Vincenti, current president of the Harford County Council, who announced his campaign against Cassilly in September, started with a balance of $450,191.77 and reported a total balance of $375,480.70 this period.
After refunds to donors, Vincenti had $133,991 in contributions. Of his recorded donors this period, about 17 contributed the state-maximum. Of Vincenti’s top 17 donors, 15 are businesses, and of those, 11 are real estate, land use, construction and development business entities.
Cassilly received smaller donations from more individuals. He did not have a single donor hit the $6,000 limit, but he did have five donors that contributed $5,000.
Vincenti recorded $12,300 in transfer contributions:
- $2,500 from Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler
- $4,000 from the Maryland State Education Association Children and Public Education PAC
- $3,000 from the Realtors Political Action Committee of Harford County
- $2,500 from the Economic Growth PAC
- $300 from Baltimore Gas and Electric PAC
Cassilly’s report did not show any transfer contributions.
Cassilly and Vincenti refunded donations to donors, with Cassilly’s report showing that he refunded $4,000 to a total of four donors, and Vincenti showing that he refunded $59,700 to about 16 donors.
Cassilly’s donation refunds were to the Belcamp-based company APEX Flavors; Carroll Fuel, based in Sparks Glencoe; and Bel Air-based auto dealer Jones Junction.
Vincenti’s refunds included ones to some development companies, local businesses such as the Klein Family Market, land use attorney Joe Snee, and others.
As for expenditures, Vincenti spent $208,702.86 this period and Cassilly spent $160,924.66.
The next campaign finance reports are due April 21.
