A northern Harford County man was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty last week to an armed robbery and a burglary that both took place in October.
Jonathan Stike, 38, robbed a 7-Eleven in the Hickory area shortly after 7 p.m. on Oct. 4 and threatened the clerk with a 12-inch-blade gardening saw, according to charging documents.
He eluded police until two days later, when he was arrested after burglarizing a gas station convenience store in Forest Hill, according to the documents.
Stike pleaded guilty to both charges and Harford County Circuit Court Judge Yolanda Curtin sentenced him on Jan. 29 to five years in prison for the armed robbery and one year plus one day for the burglary.
Stike’s attorney declined to comment on the sentence.
