“Snackhomiez,” a parody of the Harford County-based podcast, “MdFoodieBoyz,” returned to “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend with more special guests, rapper A$AP Rocky and actor Finn Wolfhard from Stranger Things.
MdFoodieBoyz is a group of four middle- to high school-aged boys: Jackson, known as Nonchalant Kid; Ryan, known as Chub Perm; Payton, known as McLovin; and Emmett, known as No Name.
The group gained traction on social media in late 2024 for commentary on school lunches, chicken sandwiches, candy, frozen pizza and other food topics. The hosts frequently use Generation Z and Generation Alpha slang such as “fire,” “valid” and “chopped” when describing foods they like or dislike.
In the latest parody, singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter returned wearing the same hat and wig — modeled after a teenage boy’s haircut — that she wore in the show’s original parody of the podcast in October.
Finn Wolfhard, who played Mike Wheeler on “Stranger Things,” plays the 16-year-old cousin of one of the podcast hosts. Wolfhard’s character on the podcast was a famous “Looksmaxing” streamer — a social trend focused on maximizing physical attractiveness through fashion, grooming and cosmetic interventions.
“So, I’m like a ‘looksmaxing gigachad,’” Wolfhard said as his character, Mica. “Basically, I discuss mogging, manipular growth, and achieving sigma status by breaking my jawbone and pulling high-level talent.”
Snackhomiez also brought back the segment “Goated Snacks,” where the hosts discuss snacks they like, this time with a focus on the new year.
“I am a big PB&J guy and this year I am seeing really big things for Uncrustables,” Carpenter said in character.
After responses of “facts” and discussion about putting an Uncrustable in a toaster oven and it being “so fire,” Carpenter said she was “low-key gooning for a crusty Uncrustable.” Wolfhard added, “I don’t know, fellas, maybe if you’re carb-maxing. I’m not trying to walk around all thick scaring the ‘huzz,’” a slang term referring to women.
The special guest of the parody segment was A$AP Rocky, who introduced his “goated snack” as the hip-hop-themed snack brand Rap Snacks, featuring his face on the packaging in a flavor called “A$AP Fashion Killa Dilla Pickle,” a reference to his lyrics.
MdFoodieBoyz, which has more than 236,000 followers on Instagram and more than 113,500 followers on TikTok, shared the parody on social media, formally inviting Carpenter, Wolfhard and A$AP Rocky to join their podcast.
